How long is the refining process?

Our dental refining process can take, on average, between 1-2 weeks with large items such as carpets taking up to 3 weeks. At Cora Refining we thoroughly test all dental scrap in order to get you the highest and most accurate return.

What are the refining fees?

All of our refining fees are listed on our price schedule. In order to keep our refining process as simple as possible we list all fees upfront. There is only one flat fee per metal. No minimum fees, assay fees, etc.

How do you determine the value of dental scrap?

The value is determined using our proven refining methods, including fire assay, palladium extraction by gravimetric precipitation and x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. The value of your scrap is determined by the precious metal content of the materials being refined.

What happens if I’m not satisfied with my settlement?

Once your materials are tested, we provide you with a full report with a breakdown of the amount of the metals present, fees incurred and the value of your settlement. If you’re unhappy with the settlement amount we will send the materials back at no cost to you. We pride ourselves on trust, accuracy and client satisfaction; we want you to be 100% satisfied with your return.

What materials do you accept?

We accept most types of dental scrap. If you work in a dental lab, there are many other materials you can send in that have gold or precious material in them. These materials include floor sweeps, carpets and filters.

Asking these common questions of any dental refinery, will allow you to better gauge the company’s legitimacy in the industry. Trust is a major component when choosing to refine your dental scrap or materials for cash.

The reason Cora Refining has been in the refining business for 40 years is dedication to customer service, paired with our promise to always provide the most accurate returns.
